We hold hearings all over England and when booking your appeal onto a hearing date, we try to locate a venue as close as possible to the property you are appealing. We usually hire two rooms at the venue, one to be used by the panel for their discussions and the other where your appeal will be heard.
Usually the venues have a waiting area and you may be asked by the clerk to wait there until the panel is ready for you.
The venues we use are mainly hotels so that you feel more relaxed and do not feel like you are attending a court. There will be water provided for you in the room.
If you require details of the venue itself and its facilities, such as parking, then where possible, go to the venue’s website. Please note that you should not use the venue address to send your evidence as this should be sent to the Valuation Office Agency or the council, depending on your type of appeal.
To search for your venue, follow this link and type in the box the name of the city or town where your hearing will be held. Details of the venue(s) in that city or town will then be listed. There will be a link to a small map but if you require a more detailed map please use an alternative search engine.
The website www.traveline.org.uk can help you plan your journey, with bus, coach and rail information. Alternatively, the AA Route Planner website can provide directions if you are planning to drive to the venue.
