 | Anne Galbraith was appointed as Chairman of the VTS at its inception and has been re-appointed to March 2012. Until recently, she was Chairman of the Prescription Pricing Authority, and now serves as a non-executive member of the NHS Business Services Authority, established in April 2006. She has previously held non-executive posts with health bodies including a period as the Chairman of the Royal Victoria Infirmary and Associated Hospitals Trust in Newcastle upon Tyne. Anne has an academic, legal background, having lectured in law at Northumbria University and she is Chairman of the Council of Durham University, its main governing body. She also had a long-standing involvement with the Citizens’ Advice Bureaux. Anne was awarded the OBE in the 2004 New Year's Honours list in recognition of her services to the community in the North East and a CBE in the 2010 Birthday honours list for her work in public service. |
